The preferred and other higher level rooms have larger balconies. There is a small narrow balcony with two tiny chairs and a side table. The toilet has its own small room and the glass shower has frosted glass in strategic areas. There are gauze curtains that may be closed for some privacy. The views of the coastline, the mountains and the water are beautiful! Typical of other Secrets hotel rooms the bathroom is open to the bedroom area. We stayed in a Junior Suite Ocean view room on the 12th floor. It was our first visit to Puerto Vallarta and this resort. Our AC went out in our room and was fixed within 15 minutes of calling! You just cannot beat the service at secrets it is unlike any I gs d ever been.My husband and I just returned home after a week at Secrets Vallarta Bay. Nervona was so sweet and was also quick with any thing we could need for our room. We stayed in preferred, Carlos was always available to make sure we had reservations or anything we may need in our rooms. Very kind and super fun! Our pool waiters were amazing, Carlos, Omar, Erik, Daniel and Alejandro were the best!! They were always making sure we had everything we needed! We talked to Ilcia and Aldo and they made sure we had everything we needed. Daniel, the event staff at the pool was so fun! He made sure we had a blast every day and even put up the volley ball net for us every time we asked. Sergio was also lovely and gave us fun goodbye beverages on our last breakfast. He remembered everything we like to T! He was always moving and making sure everyone had everything they needed. Humberto at the breakfast buffet is so kind and always had our table side pico ready. To start, Fransisco in the wine room Is hands down one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere! He’s so personal with everything he does. There is so many incredible reasons we will continue to return. This is was our second trip and it’s shocking but it was even better than our first. I will never forget any of these people and I am already rebooking for next year! If you go, make sure you ask for Carlos or Marianna to take care of you! You will not regret it! I cannot thank him enough! We need more people like this in the world. It was like he could read my mind! My pool attendant is better than yours…no doubt about it! One of the event staff, Fidel, was such a joy to be around! He was always smiling so big and shared many positive conversations with me. It made her so happy! At the pool, Erick was there every time I need something. I cannot say enough! The Preferred desk helped me secure a motor scooter for my Mom for the week so she had some independence. I wanted to take her home with me! My mom is limited mobility and everyone went above and beyond! The servers in the restaurant…Adrian, Wendy, and many more were so helpful and went out of their way to make my mom and daughter comfortable.

My baby cried when she arrived because it was so beautiful! We felt so spoiled! I was looking for something special and Marianna went during her off time and found it for me. Marianna was amazing too! She collaborated to decorate our room for my daughters birthday and brought a cake and champagne. Carlos was only with us for a short time until Marianna took over, but he continued to be available for us throughout the week even though we weren’t technically under his watch. We had the best room butlers ever! Carlos and Marianna. (The burgers from the cafe by the pool were totally worth their own mention!) There is so much to do on the resort, it can be a one stop vacation for anyone looking to relax and reset or the staff will help you find excursions and things to do off property. We never once felt as if we were a bother or a burden.

The staff was incredibly genuine and kind. From the moment I got there to the moment I left, I felt as if I was invited into someone’s home. This resort was more than I could have ever hoped for.

We were celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday. My Mom, my daughter and I went to Puerto Vallarta with a group arranged by a girl I went to high school with.
